Silver linings are quite often searched for when youre backed into a corner - its not unique to cancer patients. We often look for a blessing in disguise. Today is one of those days. Today is an amazing reminder, and trust me; reminders are very necessary because this gets harder and harder. It is a very unique and beautiful situation to go in for chemo in the morning followed by by a rush to get home, dress the kids, feed the kids and immediately head back out. You plan it this way because life is not going to be missed! After chemo, you get the luxury and great privilege to drop your oldest son off at school, kiss him goodbye, and watch him enter the world time and time again all on his own. You get to witness first hand what you have been fighting so darn hard for. It grounds you, and keeps this fight going strong. It helps spark and fire up the inner passion that you once had to go guns blazing. After 5 years of this and having the disease slowly progress, it gets daunting. However, God comes through when it is needed the most. Yes, we know this fact and we read about it in the Bible. We are not suppose to tempt or test the Lord to show His presence. So when it happens and is least expected, it truly is inspiring and miraculous. We have the absolute best and most selfless people in our lives that are fighting with us. Thank you for thinking of us, praying for us, and loving us with perseverance and rock solid determination. We love you all!
