Simon comes to some flawed conclusions. I do like this quote as it puts in perspective why London prices are higher. London has one of the lowest residential densities of any big city in the world. It is as low as gentle Stockholm, at 27,000 people per square kilometre. This is half the density of Paris, Athens or New York, a third that of Istanbul and a fifth that of Hong Kong. Yet London has an employment density similar to New York, putting intense strain on commuter services.
