Simon is 15 years old. We adopted him less than 2 months ago. Anytime we leave the house for 5 minutes or longer he is beyond ecstatic when we arrive back home. We play high five until he settles down from his happiness. If anyone believes you need to raise a dog from puppyhood to bond with them, its completely false. Each dog is unique and comes around and gets attached on their own terms, but we can safely say that they almost always do. Probably like 99.9999% of the time. Simon acts like weve loved him his entire life. And we feel like weve known him his entire life. Time is a funny thing, youll always want more and there will never be enough. If Simon could speak we think hed tell everyone to give an oldie a chance. To drop our human concept of time and just love now and be grateful for the time you do have. Life is truly a blur. ❤️
