Simply --its come down to this: do we have a free and democratic republic under Democrats or do we concede to a crooked, monolithic, authoritarian cult of crooks, liars, psychopaths and self-centered asswipes whose only goal is getting rich at the expense of EVERYONE ELSE? The prison racket is an example. The GOP hit upon a scheme that Herr Hitler/Goring would have been proud of. It works like this: PUBLIC EDUCATION is not merely neglected it becomes the target of ridicule. As crime rises as a result, the CORPORATE OWNED GULAG makes out like bandits (they ARE bandits). This kind of shit will never be corrected until the GOP is CRUSHED.
