Meditation In 1939 the first Sudan Interior Mission workers went to Doro in southern Sudan to faithfully share the Gospel with the Mabaan people, who had never heard of Jesus Christ. Years passed, and three workers were buried at Doro and more than 50 others labored there until 1964, when they had to leave because of a civil war in the country. When they left, there were only a handful of believers in Jesus. Later, when mission workers were able to return to Doro, they were amazed to find large groups of witnessing Christians among the people, with nearly 300 individuals waiting to be baptized. When you are called to be His as today’s verse declares, you’re also called to tell others about Him, and it can often be frustrating when it seems no one is responding to your witness. Don’t be discouraged. You never know how God will multiply your efforts to His glory. Simply commit to be faithful in what He has led you to do. Remain consistent and persistent, and know He is adding to His followers that’ll someday rule and reign with Him forever. Prayer Lord, thank You for Your witness through me, and I ask You to protect and guard the lives of those who are witnessing for You worldwide in the persecuted church. Amen.
