Since 1964, when I 1st heard a Beatle sound, my ears and mind craved more. Over the years, Ive been asked: Darel, what is your most favorite Beatle song ? DUH....stupid question ! I dont think any Beatle fan can answer THAT question. (however....Id like to admit this sorrowful fact.) A few years ago, I heard that an American band had released 8 albums over a 25 year span, and they would automatically get inducted into the Rock -n-Roll Hall of Fame. Good for them....... However....... Im still thinking (and KNOWING) The Beatles put out 12 albums(and 3 movies) in 6 1/2 years, BEFORE they broke-up. As individuals, they continued to shape and mold the direction of music. (Little did they know, they opened the door for disco, punk, junk, and rap-crap.) Disco ? - It didnt last too long. (but, it was fun, while it lasted) Punk ? - I didnt understand it ( I guess it was a generational thing - and it didnt last too long, either.) Then came Junk (anything goes) and Rap-Crap established its foothold. Rap-Crap has had its hold for 25+ years. I dont understand it - things (musically) should have changed (as they always have before.) Ill leave you with a thought, and my favorite Beatle song.
