Since 2009 Acid Test has had an incredible, supportive run. DJ - TopicsExpress

Since 2009 Acid Test has had an incredible, supportive run. DJ Tyrel Williams curated what started as the first all vinyl event at Chicago’s Smartbar, into a thriving monthly at San Francisco legendary 222 Hyde. With the support of residents Josh Zeitler, Stephen P. Cadiz, Julian Peña, Sevron, Miguel Solari, Bai-ee and Fil Latorre, they showcased premier dj’s and producers in analog format for nearly 5 years. After the closing of 222 Hyde, Acid Test moved on to a number of one-offs across the city of San Francisco. None have felt as right as the previous two places we called home. Because of this we haven’t continued events on any regular schedule. Though this sounds like a negative, it has allowed the crew to focus on longer-term goals. Goals that drive Acid Test residents as dj’s, producers and talent buyers... Soon Acid Test will be taking on a new form. A form that allows us to grow outside of events. Into something new, a platform free to create, release and promote music in line with our analog values. In the next few days we will be changing the name of this page to reflect efforts that encapsulate the Acid Test concept. We hope you enjoy the transition, it feels like a natural evolution to us all. Already we are receiving such a great response. Having everything to do with one amazing night with DMarc Cantu after an Acid Test SF event. We want to take this time to formally thank everyone who has supported Acid Test, performers and dancers alike. We take you all with us, we continue together on this journey… We Thank You. More TBA
