Since 2014 has been pretty life-altering and awful for my sweet mother-in-law and Jason and Madison wont be here on Thursday, I got to thinkin... And said Hey everybody, come over to my house this weekend, Im gonna cook us an early Thanksgiving dinner! And a feast I did cook... literally spent all night and day in the kitchen. We had turkey, baked potato soup, squash and shrimp dressing, Ruths Chris sweet potato casserole (aka CRACK), baked mac and cheese, green bean and artichoke casserole, corn, cornbread, broccoli and cheese, brownies and ice cream. I gave up on the apple dump cake (aka TRIPLE CRACK) cause I was just too tired. Oh and we needed some decor for the festivities so I even turned my Halloween pumpkin into a turkey. Sorry to drone on and on with all my boring details but I am just soooo proud of the fruits of my labor. Lol. Anyway, had a lovely day with family but I am left wondering how all those family matriarchs can slave over the hot stove for so many hours, year after year after year. My back, legs and feet are freakin killing me now! 😳
