Since ASUU has become this subversive to this administration, the government should move to grant full autonomy to universities. Grant the universities full autonomy with government converting the infrastructures into equity . Government should give the 130 billion as take off grant to the universities, while it guarantees the universities 100b in grants for the next five years while in return asking for stability in tuition fees, which should not be increased within the next five years. This will bring to an end the frequent strikes and unending extortion spree by assu . 8Now this frees every school to have its own condition of employment with lectures. Government should pay off every lecture in its present employ that may not want to continue as was done similarly with the electricity workers. This is one way we can bring sanity back to university and maintain globally acceptable standards within our institutions. Government should not miss this opportunity to once and for all move our universities forward. Students should be granted full or partially scholarship to cover tuition fees; this can be equated to a system where university are paid for quality of service rendered to the students and not grandstanding militant extortion of monies in the name of improving universities that we have deliberately refuse to account for funds already provided. Which as at the last count far exceeded what universities in both Ghana and South Africa received from her government never the less with greater quality advancement to show for it.
