Since Amelia insisted. Heres my race recap: I swam, biked, and ran. I Smiled. I drank water, and I didnt die. I nailed the swim, I put myself in the 8-9 minute group and I did it in 7:57, only got passed once. The bike was a bit rougher, next time Im going to ride the course a couple of times before the race. The hills were brutal and I was 20 min off of my goal time. The previously mentioned hills really did a number on my quads so the run was slow going and I walked a couple of times, I was off my goal time here too. I finished, last in my gender, last in my age group and last overall I believe. But I crossed the starting line and the finish line under my own power, not bad for someone who two years ago was in the ER having a heart attack.
