Since I am one of the voters who lost his right to vote in Denmark several years ago, I can only wholeheartedly support this excellent initiative! By the way, the Danish Constitution does not outright prevent Danes living abroad from voting in national elections - it depends on how you define the notion of permanent residence in the country. For some strange reason the previous DK government changed the underlying legislation so that from then on Danes living abroad for more than two years were excluded from voting in national elections. Until then I could vote in national elections although I had been living abroad for more than fifteen years. In this day and age where cross-border job mobility is becoming the rule more than the exception I find such restrictions ridiculous....
