Since I became interested in fishing, particularly Flyfishing, I have explored many new directions. What I have learned about the fish, its habitat, its feeding cycles and attractions, what rod, reel, and flies are optimal -- all this is new and intriguing new vistas of experience. So now, when I am driving down the road, I begin to assess its fish habitat and whether it is a good place to fish or not! Through the lens of Flyfishing and now expanded into spinner fishing, I view more of life quietly in those moments alone by the water -- encountering new friends with different backgrounds, yet with a similar interest, sharing thoughts and philosophy about fishing. Much different than when I was a kid in Florida casting a line off the sponge docks! A movie that few have watched has really conveyed a message of hope and even personal redemption. It is The River Why. Family tensions, hurt and cutoff leave years of scars open and festering. Then a new fisherman enters, a new view of life and love evolves. The unexpected end result is a blessing to those of us who yearn for the impossible reparations of a family ripped asunder. So, you must see it! What is impossible?
