Since I dont have a pantry closet I have shelves in the basement stairway for storage. This morning I was going downstairs for something from the dryer (because if you start the school year showered and stuff, you have to maintain that facade for a few days at least) and knocked another box of jello off the shelf and into the abyss that is the Black Hole Under The Carpeted Stairs. Another. As in, there are multiple items down there from mishaps over the past thirteen years, but jello boxes perfectly fit into the gap and get lost all the time. One day someone is going to buy this house and replace the carpet and its going to be like the elephant graveyard of jello under there. This same person is probably going to judge me by my level of jello consumption, but Im choosing to view it as my future contributions to the field of culinary archaeology.
