Since I found out, Ive been struggling with how to address the loss we suffered today. Its sad, its confusing, and it is painful. Mark Warrick left us with memories of a great friend, coach, and man. He always had a smile and a laugh to share. As a matter of fact those are the only memories of him that I have. I can still hear his chuckle after he told a joke. How much he loved Jills sweet tea and spaghetti. He loved Boogs, the nick name he gave to our little girl. He loved Jill Fiala even though that relationship started off kind of painful, they grew to have a great respect for each other and a family type of bond, and became quite a coaching team together. I loved him like a brother. I think about all of the times we spent together and remember his devotion, determination and love. He didnt have it in him to do anything part way. Everything he did was all or nothing, especially when it came to the kids he coached. Failure was not an option for him or his kids. If he said he was going to do something, you had better not stand in his way. You also should not say Cant. He had a giant heart of gold and wore it on his sleeve. Emotions were not easily hidden, to say the least. Not everyone understood him, but if you truly knew Mark, you loved him. If you needed him, he would drop everything to be there for you. We lost a good one today. I miss you buddy.
