Since I have already informed some of you about my issues. This past week, I feel I need to update. Today I saw an endodontist in Burnsville. They squeezed me in on an emergency basis. (The wait would have been 3 months, otherwise. Really?! What do people do?!) They did another X-Ray, which was not any more revealing than the one I had. When I told him about how much Vicoden I had been taking and still having pain, he informed me that Vicoden does not relieve pain from inflammation. (Well, that might explain something. Maybe I am not just a big whimp after all.) He put me on a steroid to calm the inflammation, which does not sound too appealing after he told me the side effects--racing heart, like the flight fight response. (Oh goody! For someone who has panic attacks, that sounds like a blast! How can something that is supposed to calm something cause another part of you to do the opposite? Interesting...) I just hope my side effects from the steroid will be abnormal, as in none. Everything else about this experience has been abnormal, so the odds should be in my favor. If I am on facebook at 3am tonight, it will probably be because of the six little pills I just took. But, so far so good!
