Since I posted about a month back on getting help for my depression and anxiety, and starting Lexapro, I thought Id give an update. Basically, I cant take Lexapro as I metabolize it too quickly, and have started experiencing withdrawal symptoms while on it! I researched it and its related to polymorphism in cytochrome p450 which is genetic. Some research has shown that polymorphism in cytochrome p450 may have a link to autism. Do any of you have this genetic issue? Anyway, my nurse practitioner is having me try Fetzima, and also prescribed a sleeping pill, its actually an antihystimine called hydroxyzine. I can also take a half pill of the hydroxyzine for panic/anxiety attacks if I am at home or someone is going to drive me home.
