Since I seem to be on a shit stirring roll, heres another one: I dont think this guy is wrong. I know all of you with your precious little perfect angel cherubs are going to think I am a mean childless ogre and you know what, youre right. I dont have kids, by choice, and I do like to enjoy a nice meal without the sound of screaming, crying, tantrum throwing, food flinging little heathens. Granted, I do not expect peace and tranquility while grabbing a burger at Red Robin, its a family restaurant, I get it. But if I am going to pay upwards of $30 to $40 for an entree I am most likely celebrating a special occasion and I think I deserve to enjoy it in peace. I am not saying you cant bring your angel cherubs to the nice restaurant, yes, you deserve a nice meal too. But please do the rest of us a favor and keep your kid in a chair, on a leash, or whatever and quiet. If they become unruly, excuse yourselves and and go outside until the situation is under control. Just because you chose (Im guessing) to reproduce does not mean the rest of us should have to suffer the consequences. I know plenty of people with kids who are courteous and respectful of others while dining out with their children. Ill even jump in to lend a hand if I am with you. Im aiming this at those selfish assholes I mentioned in my previous post who act as though they are the only ones in the restaurant, their kids are the cutest things since Shirley Temple and that I might actually enjoy conversing with the food coated little darling as they wander the tables, tripping up waiters because they refuse to sit still and Mommy and Daddy are too stupid and selfish to realize they should go outside and leave everyone to their meals in peace. Long story short: dont make your problems my problems. This restaurant owner is catering to a specific market, just as other restaurant owners do with their high chairs, coloring crayons, and balloon animals. They have a choice as to who they would like to please and you have a choice as to where to spend your money. If you dont like the policy, dont go there. But its not fair to chastise him for making a business decision, one that seems to be working being that the signs have been there for two years and business is booming.
