Since I was so exhausted and sore last night, I went straight to bed. When I got in the shower this morning my knees started burning as soon as the hot water hit them. For a second I thought “what the heck?” Silly me, then I remembered, my knees have rug burns on them from crawling on the floor to work on the cross!!!! Yeah, I’m convinced no one should do this quilt without a design wall. I guess I’m a little slow coming to that realization, but at least I got there. So now to make a design wall. Too late for this one though I’m afraid. Today will be spent in my sewing chair working on the Hip To Be Square challenge and making the second of 2 bed skirts and standing at the longarm finishing the Sea Bubbles quilt. Absolutely no knees or bending for me today. Thanks so much for all your lovely comments (even if I don’t deserve them) and advise. Much of that advise I am going to take as quickly as I can. Anyhoo, I will try to answer the questions I saw on my post from yesterday. 1-This cross is NOT my design, someone posted a picture of it and I had to do it. Someone posted a site for what looks like the pattern on my feed though. 2- I am using 2½ inch squares completely from my scraps. I did/could not buy fabric for this. 3- It is a gift for the children’s building our church is building. 4- It will be about 52 x 68 when finished. 5- No, I no longer have any pets. Well, except for my neighbors dogs who come in to visit and hangout regularly, but they are all very good pups and never go upstairs. 6- This is not what I am doing for the Hip To Be Square challenge!!!! It will never be done in time. My Hip To Be Square challenge quilt will be MUCH simpler.
