Since I woke up, sometime in my mid 30s, and began to piece - TopicsExpress

Since I woke up, sometime in my mid 30s, and began to piece together a life that I hoped would have meaning and purpose, Ive been continuously blessed by family, friends and colleagues who support my endeavors. I felt that support so strongly, again this weekend, while attending Yoga Service Councils Yoga Service Conference at The Omega Institute. Connecting with the many passionate, full-hearted teachers, researchers, students and practitioners who engage a wide array of communities in very creative and dynamic ways was such a gift for me, and for my sometimes (very) heavy heart. It helped me to see that one can bear witness to suffering, our own and others, while still holding space for joy. It means that our hearts may be broken over and over, but that only deepens our desire to serve and to make change. From the steep and steady climb upward, out of the depths of depression in my 20s & 30s, to creating a life and work that allows me to serve others, to help them along a path of healing... has been profoundly healing for me. Im so deeply grateful to the Flawless Foundation for sponsoring me, and The Lineage Project for allowing me the continued opportunity to learn and serve. Thanks to Janine Francolini & Beth Navon :)
