Since Im making it my mission to actually get some quality photos of my costumes going forward, Ive had a few test photo shoots. While some of the photos turn out great, most of it devolves into me derping around, as youll see below. I derp when I feel awkward about looking good. I mention this because I know a lot of cosplayers, myself included, feel very self conscious regarding their bodies, faces, and cosplay photos in general. What doesnt help is that youre always going to stumble across those posts online that say less than flattering comments and it can be soul crushing. Im forcing myself to get past this and making progress. Sharing photos like this is going to get me there. So to all of my fellow cosplayers that struggle with this, LETS DO THIS. Lets rock these outfits and not give a single damn what someone else says. And to those of you who dont have this issue, what advice do you have to share with those who do? This is an important issue in the cosplay community in my opinion, so thanks for letting me have a mini soap box.
