Since Ive been trying to hammer this concept into peoples minds, lets begin by me saying not all cops are bad, Ive met some nice ones myself, so thats not what this is about. This is about holding police accountable for their actions, which for the most part, they are not. This video is a perfect example of why its good to record any encounter you have with them. You may think that theyre just doing their job, and you shouldnt make things difficult for them, (thats the normal response I get from people) but what is their job exactly? Is it to protect and serve peoples rights, as originally described in the Constitution? Or is it to enforce unconstitutional commercial codes to generate revenue for the state? Now you may think you can trust your local police officer, and for some of you out there, youve never had a reason not to. To you I say, good for you, youre a lucky one, because statistically youre more likely to get harassed by a police officer than helped by one. And remember even if you trust the police, theyre trained NOT to trust you.
