Since a motorcycle is considered by state law a motor vehicle, the same as cars/trucks -- they why do they choose to TAX motorcycles 7% and cars/trucks at 5%? Why do they create legislation that discriminates against bikers? Is it because of the $50 head trauma tax? NO. Thats added to every motorcycle sale in addition to sales tax. Now that vehicles which are a mixture of car/motorcycle are appearing - its time to consolidate and simplify the taxing methods so the definition of motor vehicle can cover all at the SAME tax rate (and do away with the extra $50 filing fee). May was well throw ATVs into the mix and make it super-simple. Definition: statutes.laws/mississippi/title-63/3/63-3-103
