Since caring for my Daddy who suffered and died from Alzheimers, I am determined to create a much-needed solution to the problems associated with this disease--particularly a shortage of facilities and homes to accommodate the growing number of patients who need round-the-clock care. And will even go so far as to legislate employment guidelines for those of us who miss work to care for a loved one with a terminal illness. In the meantime, I will attend events like the one featured here to see how others are caring for their most valuable assets--their elders.
