Since day 1, Yao Ming has had a fear of baths. Giving him a bath is a real challenge. Before hes actually placed in the tub he tenses, his heart pounds and he takes 3 deep breaths. I call them his heart attack breaths. I stopped bathing him in the actual tub because he flips backwards. Now hes bathed in a baby bath which works way better! The only problem is he panics. Whining, wanting to escape and I have no idea how to reassure him its okay. Water scares him. Its not the temperature Im sure. Its the water. The very second hes out of the water, hes as calm as calm can get. Any advice on how I can Re-assure him its okay?
