Since earlier this year, Ive been paying close attention to every candidates plan in many ways and at this point I urge everyone in this great city of ours to get out and first off vote then vote for any of the following candidates when factoring the following reasons: road/building infrastructure, transit/handi-transit system, entertainment/festivals, environment/conservation, trails, water/waste water, provincial ombudsman, housing/shelter, homelessness, integrity at city hall and social issues. Ward 1: Matt Alexander Ward 2: Dan Xilon Ward 3: Jesse Gaudet Ward 4: Paul Lefebvre Ward 5: Kent McNeil or John Lundrigen or Robert Kirwan Ward 6: René Lapierre Ward 7: Mike Jacubo Ward 8: Stefano Presenza Ward 9: Wyman MacKinnon Ward 10: Steve Ripley or Fern Cornier or John Antonioni Ward 11: Mike Bleskie Ward 12: Robert McCarthy A lot of other candidates has proposed to have sudbury start using municipal bonds. I for one am against municipal bonds as it is a one way ticket to get into debt. If anything it seriously needs to be spent on things thatll create high revenue sources and thats about it. Municipal bonds is pretty much also known as a municipal credit card. If the city doesnt pay it off on time you the tax payers get interest charges. As for store hours referendum Ill be sure to say yes to all three questions as it is not up to city hall to be parenting our retail. Many other businesses doesnt want to come and establish themselves in Sudbury because of this. When it comes to mayors, they all have its own pros and cons. Bigger is proposing tax-freeze, how is he going to come up with the $13,000,000.00 for that to happen beats me. As for Melanson he wants to use municipal bonds at 700 million dollars borrowed for fixing our roads, wrong decision. As for Rodriguez and Dupuis, we wouldnt want another scandal incident happen. As for the rest of the mayoral candidates they stand no chance at winning. So there for, it is after all a tough decision to make. In the end, we want Greater Sudbury become the best city in Northern Ontario, starting with hopefully 60,000 folks casting their vote.
