Since i joined politics in December 2010 i have never had as busy - TopicsExpress

Since i joined politics in December 2010 i have never had as busy a month as this month! I have suffered so much stress that paracetamol has almost stopped working for me. If not for fear of addiction i would have moved to the next grade. My Doctor for Sure will not accept that! Alhamdulillah, yesterday we started our 8 days free fuel distribution exercise when touts, backed by the police, sealed off our stations and stopped the exercise. They said if we like we can sell the fuel but to give our fuel free, for security reasons, could only happen over their dead bodies! Alternatively, they have the security to give me to pack the fuel to any state I choose and do whatever I want with it but certainly not anywhere in Katsina state! This is where we are! That is for Katsina. Tomorrow Sunday, inshaa Allah is the day for my orphans. I am anxious for the day because I know in shaa Allah with Allahs help we are going to change so many lives. This exercise will commence by 4pm and will last for 10-14 days God willing. By 2pm tomorrow we will start with Malumfashi where 117 indigenous and non indigenous Christians, that were the victims of April 2011 post election violence, will receive various amount of money ranging from N100,000 to N1 million to revive their lost businesses. This we are doing consciously knowing that they were wronged and what happened to them, even if done by my fellow Muslim brothers, did not have our blessings and was against the teachings of Islam. We will use the occasion to bring succour to them, say sorry, enlighten our Muslim youths on Islamic teachings pertaining to the rights of a Christian guest and neighbour over a Muslim and the sanctity of lives and property of all people in Islam. Peace can never be built on injustice and we cannot pretend that 2011 never happened because we are the strongest where we are. Hopefully my Muslim brothers that suffered the same fate where they are the minority may equally be reprieved by the justice we will give. To that extent we have invited the President of CAN as the Special Guest of Honour, Sheikh Ahmed Lemu as the Chairman of the occasion and Sheikh Kabiru Gombe and Sheikh Tijjani Bala Kalarawi to speak respectively on the above two topics on the right of a neighbour and guest and the place of life and property in Islam. It will hold in Malumfashi Catholic Church in shaa Allah by 2pm tomorrow Sunday. I therefore seek from your prayers and the grace to be part of this programme towards furthering a better Muslim/Christian relationship in Katsina state and Nigeria. Allah ya bada ikon zuwa, amen!
