Since last week,when my sweet old friend Margla Da Raggamuffin Gyal posted pictures of her pregnancy, many people lashed at her calling her a university drop out. I couldnt stop laughing at how the public twists events and assumes you are a failure. Am not Marglas PR,but want to make this straight and clear cos in the first place I wouldnt even post this on my wall. Namuleme Maria Gladys (Margla) was my classmate for 3 damn years. We both pursued a Bachelors in Tourism and graduated on the same day. She even invited Kinene Douglas and i to WBS chopa chopa show,where she appreciated our efforts rendered in her academics through Knowledge sharing and had an after party at Rouge. Do you copy Sulubada Lilsum Summix? I was one of those people who interviewed Margla for the campus Tourism Newsletter after the No body hit with Arafat. She was smart,precise and intelligent at the way she answered questions. I remember begging her to enrol in tour operations after Mr. Francis Kimbowa ( our lecturer)/ Director Pinnacle Safaris had returned the sheets. She assured me that music was her passion and a way with which she paid her tuition. She never missed a single trip and would always veil her head to cover up the Mohawk. You couldnt identify her as the crazy muffin cos she was decent during lectures. Perharps,she had been told about an attempt by Dr. Nyakana to cut off Peter Miles dreads years before we joined. I have some copies of her answer sheets I will post them and she scored above average I.e 70%, 78%. She was intelligent and a first learner. Perharps most people want to see her in the industry to undersrstand that she is naturally smart and aint a drop out. Oba some Ugandans be how?
