Since moving to KY I have met several people from all over the US whose husbands are stationed at Ft. Campbell as well. I am learning that people say things differently depending on each state that they are from. I wrote down a few of these things so that I could share with yall, remember that my way is the Texas way as my friends would say. 1. We call carbonated beverages Soda or Coke mostly always every carbonated beverage is referred to as Coke in Texas. Whereas I have heard more people from the north call it Pop. 2. I call the amount of money that I pay on our car loan each month a Car Note whereas a lot of people here call it simply a car payment. 3. We call them 4-wheelers they call them Quads. 4. We call the little bugs who role into a ball when you touch them: Roley Poley they call them Potato Bugs. 5. We call the things you put your stuff into at Walmart a Buggy they call them carts. Its neat to me how we see things compared to others, doesnt make either way right or wrong but does make it cool!
