Since my change of pace posting of what a Wonderful World was such a hit on my Doctor Rudys Facebook page, I thought I would venture out to another meaningful song, one of my favorites of all time, True Love Ways sung by one of my favorite singers of all time, the great Buddy Holly. Buddy Holly tragically died on Feb. 3rd, 1959 in a plane crash at just 22 years old, but his enormous influence on the history of Rock and Roll will lives on for an eternity! He was a major influence on many singers and groups but most notably the Beetles and The Rolling Stones. His death was memorialized in Don McCleans legendary song American Pie, The day the music died! It was the last song Buddy ever wrote, and it was released shortly after his death. For the purpose of this Facebook page, just listen to the wonderful lyrics and music that Buddy wrote. He somehow knew in his heart even at such a young age how important love and caring was to optimal mental health. Sometimes well sigh Sometimes well cry And you know why Just you and I know true love ways Throughout the days Our true love ways Will bring us joy to share With those who really care
