Since my last update we have left Cinque Terre and traveled south to the worlds 3rd oldest city, Matera. We got to do some cave spelunking and we hiked to the top of the hill where Mel Gibson filmed the crucifixion scene in The Passion of the Christ. So far southern Italy is everything I thought it would be. The people here are so hospitable and we heard our first momma mia! We are staying at a nice bed and breakfast where we enjoyed our first home cooked meal and home made wine.
