Since my son started school in kindergartner, he referred to people as tan and brown. So it was no surprise when he (now 13) asked me the other day where the "N" word came from. I told him it derived from the Spanish word "negro" which means black. Then he gave me this weird look and said, "Then why do people call each other the "N" word?" I said, "What do you mean?" His response was, "No one is black, they are brown and dark brown!" WOW, he is so right! If we left children alone and let them love just to love and not teach them race, then this world would be a much better place! Just saying!
