Since not all of our members were at church today, I think I should use this opportunity to inform those that werent there. Previously, I posted how God was closing a season for me as He opened another one. I tendered my resignation today as an Elder in our church. I also stepped down as a class teacher. A lot of times when someone leaves a leadership position in a church, there may be a point of contention or conflict. There is absolutely none in this case. Our lives are a series of seasons. Recognizing the beginning and end of a season directly impacts our peace, joy and happiness. I have been here before. I has been an honor and a privilege to serve as an Elder. My service in this capacity is simply over. Tina Joiner and I love this church and the people who attend here. It is one of my bright spots of the week to attend church and see my fellow members. We have no intention of changing churches. I have never been more encouraged about where our church is spiritually and the direction that it is going. Finally, I intend to continue to post a Bible study every Sunday.
