Since our closure I have looked at every aspect of the business, - TopicsExpress

Since our closure I have looked at every aspect of the business, the positives, the negatives, where we succeeded and where we failed. Our closure ultimately came down to a loss of revenue from excessive food waste, employee costs and a stagnant retail store that was not covering the overhead despite the enormous amount of demand we had for custom orders and wholesale. I have sat and revamped my business plan to eliminate the retail store and reduce costs of operation. Doing so has left the business as an order only business, doing so is risky, so we have done the research to expand our customer base and ship nationwide. Our focal point at the beginning will be to focus on creating products that can be shipped nationwide and products for local pickup, this will give us the ability to reach more people and continue in business without the overhead and waste of a retail store. This also removes the aspect of needing employees and makes sure that Carrie and I are the ones creating everything, maintaining the highest quality and integrity in every product. As we sit and await the announcement for the Chase Mission Main Street Grants, I made sure to create a back up plan to obtain financing in the event we are not one of the lucky 12. We have set up a Kickstarter Campaign, and will have to rely on our Family, Friends, Fans and Faith to be able to restart Addi Cakes. We are awaiting our campaign to be approved, once it is we hope you will help us return.
