Since our formation in 2000 the sole purpose of the Hung Sing Martial Arts School has been to generously teach Choy Li Fut Kung Fu. By maintaining a balance between traditional and modern, we hope to offer a useful tool for people in todays society. To keep a balance between the traditional and modern requires decision making, creative behaviour, and the use of certain resources. This is not well recognised by the traditional martial community, which has led to all sorts of misunderstandings and even conflicts. In order to maintain our independence for the fulfilment of our objectives, we the Hung Sing Martial Arts School resign our status as full member of the Plum Blossom International Federation, effective immediately. The objectives and prospects of the Hung Sing Martial Arts are incompatible with belonging to an organisation like the Plum Blossom International Federation. So, ethics and consistency require us to make this decision. This decision is well considered even painful, as strong martial and emotional ties bind us to that organisation. Not surprisingly, Anatole France once wrote All changes, even the most longed for, carry certain melancholy. But it is a decision required to advance, and implement the exciting projects we have planned for the future. I want to publicly thank my Master, GM Doc-Fai Wong his priceless teachings and support during all these years, and express him my utmost respect. And wish to my fellows on the Plum Blossom International Federation, the greatest personal and professional triumphs. Only with mutual respect, can we all have true success. From February 7th next year, we will start a huge chain of events: communication events, training activities, seminars, opening of new projects and programs, etc. Which will illuminate the already bright future of our organisation, benefiting all our members. It is an open future, accessible to all those who really love Chinese martial arts and want to advance deep into its study and understanding. We await you.
