Since our website is down for maintenance, we have to share this on Facebook. In case youve forgotten, prior to Mayor Dennis Tyler, Muncie was run by the Tea Party. The Tea Party elected our first female mayor in Muncies history which seems very odd since most republicans have been rolling back womens rights over the past decade. However, since we are Middletown, USA, it usually happens here first. Maybe she was our version of Sarah Palin. Well, we gave her a shot with the help of Walker/Roysdon and Larry Riley at The StarPress. They promoted their republican mayor every chance they could, even when they should have been holding her accountable. Her administration was poorly run, but our local newspaper was too busy promoting her every move. Walker/Roysdon were fed lots of material by the republicans in charge. They enjoyed the limelight. From what weve been told, theyve been creating gossip in order to have something to write about these days. Wonder what happened to all their sources? (republicans are the anonymous sources in Muncie) We did find the former mayor who apparently is a government consultant in Northern Indiana. She recently appeared in the South Bend editorial pages plugging a gun advocate running for office. Heres her promotional ad-editorial: _____________________________ Nisly For all Second Amendment supporters/defenders and outdoor enthusiasts in State House District 22, which includes parts of Kosciusko and Elkhart County: Republican candidate Curt Nisly has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association. Nisly has also been endorsed by the Gun Owners of America and by Sheriff Brad Rogers of Elkhart County. Nisly has been clear that he believes your right to own a gun is undeniable. Nisly’s opponent, Democrat David Kolbe, has also clearly shown his view on your right to own a gun. Speaking at a Warsaw candidate forum on April 16, Kolbe said, “If rated (by the Gun Owners of America) I would fail.” The Democrat candidate repeated this claim that he would get a failing mark by the GOA in a letter to the Warsaw Times-Union dated April 25. For voters in the 22nd District who want an absolute supporter of your Second Amendment rights, Curt Nisly is the clear choice. Early voting has begun; Election Day is next Tuesday. Please join me in voting wisely, choose Curt Nisly. Sharon McShurley Syracuse _____________________________
