Since posts to our page by others do not always pop up in our feed we are adding this post to make it more visible: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have been advised that the Post Office has been closed (we are told by auditors) and people are understandably concerned about accessing PO counter services. We have contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau (at 4:30 on Friday - as soon as we knew) who have a statutory role in PO consumer matters and we will tell you what is happening as soon as we get an answer; expected to be on Monday. Post collections by Royal Mail are not affected by this so you can be confident that mail will be collected from all Post Boxes in the town. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As far as we are aware this does not change the current consultation so we are continuing to gather information and hear community views about the proposed transfer of Post Office services and will be discussing our consultation submission at our meeting on 29 October.
