Since someone else adopted the blue tongued skink, I let one of the girls at the store talk me into something completely different. I am now the proud mama of two beautiful baby rats, Rosie and Daisy. They are super smart and very, very sweet. They know me already, and this morning they both ran to me when I opened their cage to put in a bowl of fresh veggies, and they rubbed against my hand. Rosie is a week younger and definitely more feisty, but Daisy LOVES to just sit on my shoulder and snuggle against my neck. If I reach out to pat her little head, she holds my fingers with her little hands and licks them. What an absolute sweetie! And did you know that rats can be taught the coolest tricks?
