Since switching to strictly calisthenics a few years ago from the more weightlifting-oriented bodybuilding routine I’d done for more than a decade prior, I have been frequently asked if I even touch weights at the gym anymore. I actually still have my 24 Hour Fitness membership because I was able to score a sweet lifetime deal, but whenever I visit, I definitely do not lift any metallic weights whatsoever. I feel much more mobile, limber, fleet afoot, and overall, in much better condition, with less injuries to boot. Actually, come to think of it, I do occasionally “touch” the weights, and this is what I use them for.
