Since the Charlie Hebdo attacks, theres been a [predominantly white and conservative] global push in the media/social-media to defend anti-Muslim hate speech as free speech and a rejection of the notion that people can condemn the violence without condoning/supporting the incendiary satire of Charlie Hebdo. Ok... lets go with that. I wonder how many of you who agree with the aforementioned would defend the free speech of the guy in this clip and post Je suis New Black Panther in solidarity with them, if the KKK attacked their meeting and killed 12 of their members? What are the chances there would be such a groundswell of support for this groups free/hate speech by the same [predominantly White] masses supporting Charlie Hebdo, if the free/hate speech is directed at them? Slim to none. Of course, they have every right and reason to be appalled by this video-- IT IS appalling!--but whats worse than selective outrage is selective self-serving outrage. Which is nothing more than good old fashion hypocrisy. Lets see you red blooded American free speech defenders defend this. #dontBSyourself
