Since the Diego Martin highway extension opened, having heard several loud bangs coming from the intersection, heard the dratted bell more times than I care to mention and seeing motorists cut across to turn right where they shouldnt I have been saying its only a matter of time before someone loses their life there. So said, so done. A motor biker died on the spot yesterday morning after being hit by a motorist turning right where they were not supposed to. Someone on last nights news said the spot is not sign posted properly which is absolutely not true. After day one it was obvious that a right turn was going to be a problem and it was changed overnight. The no right turn sign went up and there is no way one cannot see it. People are just taking a chance. We were behind a taxi driver who did it last week and coming home yesterday evening another motorist did it cutting in front of us illegally at high speed in virtually the same spot where the biker had died earlier. People just don`t care. Its only a matter of time before a pedestrian suffers the same fate. A walk over should have gone up at the major intersection. On that note have a great week Face Bookers.
