Since the beginning of April 2014, weve been working on an ambitious project to make Goa a Rabies Free State by sterilising and vaccinating at least 70% of the dogs there. So far weve reached over 12,000 dogs and are still going, but we couldnt achieve any of this without the partnerships of some amazing charities within Goa. By partnering with these charities we provide training in best practice animal welfare and surgical technique, as well as resources so that they can increase their work capacity to reach more dogs than ever before. Wed like to say thank you to these brilliant organisations, so this week well introduce them to you. First up, is International Animal Rescue Goa - an organisation whove been our friends and partners since we first launched Mission Rabies in September last year. During the last four months, with our support, theyve sterilised and vaccinated 2159 dogs and that figure increases daily! Thanks IAR and keep up the great work!
