Since the hype came out about the new football stadium, I have been seeing a ton of negative posts about this very needed upgrade so listen up folks. First of all, the school budget is not a lump sum of money. X amount of dollars are set aside for teachers salaries, infrastructure, maintenance, and so on. So to post that we should raise teachers pay instead of build a football stadium is...well lets just call it uninformed. One has nothing to do with the other and, in fact because our board saw a surplus in salary allotment, teachers were recently given a well-deserved bonus. Look all I am saying is this-be informed. Our high school buildings, especially football stadium, are very old and could use a renovation. Plus, right now our city is seeing huge growth in sales receipts so now is a great time. We are booming and we have the money. So go for it HMS. I trust your decisions. You have been doing a great job and I for one support you!!!
