Since the person who owns the mobile home next to me (which has a shared driveway with us) has said that they cant rent said home because we were taking up all of the parking with one vehicle, here is some clarification. I took my 50 tape measure outside and measured the driveway. It is 18 3 across, 9 1 1/2 for each vehicle (for those who are mathematically brain dead) which I have marked with paint for future reference. We have actually been parking farther over on our side than we even had to (which is something I will cease to do as of now, because yes, Im an asshole that way). Firstly, if someone cant park in 9 1 1/2 of space, then they either need to A: Go immediately to the DMV and turn in their license, or B: Go trade in their car for an economy sized KIA or something similar. Ive allowed the person who owns that home to use my electricity for months to make renovations, not even asking for the full amount of electric because I didnt want to bust their balls when the place wasnt even rented. Well, guess what. Since they felt like they had to run to the lot owner rather than just pecking on my door (which was certainly convenient enough when they needed my electric), thats out. Go rent a generator and buy gas for anything further, see how that works out for you. If the people you are trying to rent to have 2 cars, yes they will have to park one in the yard, no way around it unless they are small, then they can park single line. Truth be told, the reason you cant rent the place is because its a tiny mobile home with 2 bedrooms, neither of which is as big as my smallest room, it has no yard, it has no washer or dryer and only room for a stackable unit, has a broken fridge, the brand new floor is buckling in spite of renovations because there is still a leak in the kitchen, you are asking WAY too much for rent and lastly there is no heat source period, which means that Mountain Projects wont touch it with a ten foot pole. Any other questions? By all means, feel free to ask, I will certainly give you an earful that you dont want to hear.
