Since there are streets named after my two grandfathers in the poblacion of our town, I think there should also be a street in our town named after Don Mariano P. Leuterio--the grandfather of former Vice-President Noli de Castro--who was among the most memorable Representantes, if not the most memorable Representante, of our Provincia de Mindoro both before and after the Declaration of Philippine Independece from America, for it was he who partitioned our province into Oriental and Occidental Mindoros in 1951...and even ceded Lubang Islands to the Occidental half... etc... He was also, by the way, the Tio of Ester Basa Leuterio, the recently deceased widow of the eldest brother of my maternal grandmother...
