Since theres a request to post reflections here, I shall try to do so. Heh. There are so many things that Im thankful for in this camp: 1) The generosity and understanding of the people in the Praisehaven Retreat Centre -- Manager aunty Janet, aunty Serene and receptionist-keyholder-facilities manager-uncle Edwin. They really put up with our constant changes to all the facilities and other administrative stuff. And I mean a lot. 2) The wonderful weather (super humid but still better than haze) 3) Sarah Chan for the amazing miracle that you did for my ankle. Thank you for helping me to believe in the power of prayer and the absolute awesomeness of our God. Because of your help, you helped me to trust more in Gods perfect plan and timing, and also enabled me to carry out my logistics duties for the whole camp :) 4) Helpful campers (aka all of you) for being so willing and cheerful in moving things around and doing whatever you can to ease the log teams burden. For bearing with the non-aircon dining hall without flipping tables. Yes the #03-04 girls too. Salute for experiencing BMT bunks for two nights. 5) For the timely reminder that my identity is determined by who I am and whose I am 6) My wonderful camp comm: Samuel for being a rallying point around which the whole comm is united. Thank you for being so self-sacrificial and always looking out for our welfare (often at the expense of your own). Grace for your unwavering support of Sam and being so helpful in reconciling the comms different views and being a great prayer buddy. Progs people Dsen David Clare Cheryl for the many hours of frying brain cells and hair-pulling over the last-minute prog changes (I know the pain hahaha) but yet keeping your heads and persevering. Pubs people Carol Amanda for the brilliant t shirt designs, videos and posters, and for helping out in the camp with anything that needed help. Rachel for the crazy amount of admin work you tanked before and during the camp. Your labour of love is very much appreciated. Gordon for the $$$ and always being so positive about everything haha. You bring enthusiasm to the group. Clara my fellow loggie. Thanks for your support and labouring alongside me in settling all the logistical nightmares (rmb the campsite-finding panic-madness-inducing-hair-pulling-omg-ness period). Sign on for next year again if you dare hahaha. 7) Elyon for the great supper we had at Ameens (which made my ankle ache from the walking, but it was worth it) 8) The super efficient packup on the last day. Congrats all you people are ready to enlist. 9) The enthuness all of you displayed during the beach games despite the desert sun. I was busy enjoying myself in the shade looking after your bags and watching the water flow like rain from your faces during each water break. Good times. 10) Final night worship. I got a glimpse of heaven that night. Hallelujah to the Lamb :) So many things. I really hope God has touched each of you during this camp, and that the post-camp high will be replaced with a genuine commitment to Him once the grind of school starts and we all settle into a routine. It has been my great privilege and joy to serve in this camp (advertisement for SPUR camp comm recruitment 2015). To God be the glory! (The Best Is Yet To Be) Duane Logistics IC
