Since this picture was first posted, more than 10,600 people have seen Harpers Hope-ful face! The power of social media! Its time to do more than just share the picture, though! It is time to take some action! Lets see what kind of impact we can make by meeting with people face to face! There are many people who are investigating being a living donor for Dustin--that is fantastic! There are also many people who can not donate a kidney for various different reasons--that is fantastic, too! You can only do what YOU are capable of doing! If, like me, you would still love to do SOMETHING to help A Kidney for Dustin, and Harpers Hope---then, this is the post for YOU to read! We are prepping for a Softball Tournament Benefit that will include a raffle and a silent auction on July 19th. The list of incredible prizes is growing astronomically with even more donations coming in--some of these things are phenomenal, (I am talking a $2,500 treatment contribution from a local orthodontist, a new comfy and plush recliner, one month of free Tae Kwon Do lessons and the uniform and belt, lawn furniture and power tools, and many more). We are contacting local companies to contribute food items to stock our concession stand during the tournament, and we will need volunteers to work the concession stands, as well. So many times, we say, I wish I could do something to help. Well, here is your chance! No excuses! Everyone can do something--small ($5 raffle ticket) or large(donate a car to be auctioned) or maybe somewhere in between (bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies for the concession stand or ask a business owner that you know to consider donating). This is an opportunity for the friends of Dustin Bernier Melissa Bernier to step up and make a difference in Harpers life by saving Dustins life! This is also a chance for our community to step up and be what community is all about!
