Since time immemorial people have worshipped lifeless images, yet in spite of all their pleading they have never received an answer. Wuldnt it be tragic, in this present age of communications, if we had nothing but a silent God? It wuld drive us to despair if we met only with silence as the answer to all our cries for help. The true God is a God who speaks. He created the worlds by His word, and from the first day of mans history He sought contact with His creature so as to speak to him (Gen. 1 & 2). However, Adam would not listen to the voice of his creator, and after his act of disobedience he hid so as not to hear Him. Again, He spoke to us through the voice of countless prophets. Then, when many did not respond, He spoke directly through Jesus Christ. Today God still speaks to us, by means of Bible. Whoever is prepared to listen to Him, should read it, starting preferably with the gospel
