Since we are already air-gas engines, there had to be a time in our past when we lived on our single food (air.) Fruit at that time would not have been our main food, but instead was like the new drug or a pleasure source. The plant mutually began to develop more desirable, sweet, sustainable food to hook us to helping them as well. The fruit they gave was not wretched, but was something the plant learned to cultivate that would not hurt people and keep us coming back. Mcdonalds is the most devolved level of this early devolution, mucus-pus became the new fruit. The purpose of fruit is to spread the seed and get high with little physiological damage, we were never meant to eat most seeds, a few were developed for digestion as a plant-tactic. Remember the times. Lets get our mind right.
