Since we know we dont have any procrastinators out there... and we know all of our sellers are busy tagging, we are planning on posting some helpful hints between now and drop-offs. You know... just in case anyone is still tagging at that point... hahaha! ;) And lets try to focus on positive, constructive hints/tricks/tips. :) First up... lighting! It helps to look at each item in both indoor light and outdoor sunlight. It might seem excessive, but some stains that show up in one light will be invisible in the other. We want to help save our sellers from hanging and tagging items that we will reject because of stains, so this is a very worthwhile step! The lighting in the fairgrounds is very telling, and things that you might miss will be very apparent there, so this trick really helps!!! Also be sure to check for holes, excess wear, and clothes that are more than a few years old. :) We realize that some items with stains will somehow make it to the sales floor. Please remember that our volunteers are human and they do miss things. It is very important to realize that we DO track the seller number of those that submit stained items, and also check again during the final sort and record the seller number of those who have an excess of stained items. Those sellers are not asked back to sell with us again. Again, an occasional miss is OK, multiple items with quality issues is definitely not. Again, please... lets try to keep comments positive and constructive, and understand that we all have different likes and styles. :)
