Since weve handed over our prison system to private corporations theyre cutting wages (and training) of personnel and slashing food, laundry, and other basic services to prisoners in pole barn prisons to maximize shareholder profits, and now theyre trying to sue states for not incarcerating enough prisoners to meet profit projections. Were hemorrhaging resources on a war against ourselves in a race to lock up half the population and have the other half paying for basic foodstuffs so their loved ones in prison dont starve. Have we lost our minds?
